Harvest Heydays
Your class will enjoy an educational program full of fall harvest fun at Harvest Heydays! This event centers on a visit to the pumpkin patch where each child will take home their very own pumpkin. We will also have many other fall-related educational activities such as corn pulling and shucking, cotton picking, peanut stacking, and hayrides. We will also have the corn maze which will give your students the opportunity to enjoy corn in a whole new way. (Some activities are based on crop availability). No minimum number of students required for this program.
Dates: October 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 2021
Cost: $10 per Student; $8 per Adult; Additional Pumpkins $3 each

Living History
Costumed Program! Give your students the experience of living and working on a Wiregrass Farmstead in the early 1900s. Students will get the opportunity to cook on the hearth, make butter, care for the farm animals, help in the garden and more! Costumed in period dress, students will be divided into small groups in order to participate at the different workstations. This half-day program will conclude with lunch prepared by the students at the Waddell House, traditional games, a hay ride, and an ice cream cone from the Martin Drugstore. Due to the hands on nature of this program, classes are limited to a maximum of 30 students and a minimum of 20 students.
Dates: November 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 2021 AND February 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 2022
Cost: $12 per student (includes lunch and an ice cream)
Program Length: 4 hours (9 a.m.-1 p.m.)
Recommended age: 3rd-5th Grade

Christmas Past
Thinking of Christmas the way your grandparents described it to you? Students can experience some of the same activities and emotions of this very special season with cider tasting and story-telling by the fireplace. The children will also be invited to play parlor games and construct old-fashioned ornaments they may take home with them. Due to the hands on nature of this program, groups are limited to approximately 30 students per session
Dates: December 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 2021
Cost: $6 per student; $5 per adult
Program Length: 1.5 hours ( 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. time slots available)
Recommended age: PreK-6th Grade

Aerospace Week
You are invited!  Students will enjoy many activities such as learning how to pilot as well as learn the history behind female pilots like Amelia Earhart. Join our instructors on our launch pad where we will launch rockets into the air, take an adventure into space in our planetarium, listen to a guest speaker in our Activity Barn and many more interactive adventures into the sky! No minimum number of students required for this program. Teachers will need to sign up for a Planetarium time slot when registering.

Program Length: 4 hours (9- 1 PM)
Recommended age: 2nd-8th grade

Wonderful Wetlands
Designed specifically for middle school students, this program offers a unique learning experience perfect for older more adventurous groups willing to roll up their sleeves and get a little wet and muddy. Students will conduct activities to understand how streams and ponds form, how freshwater organisms adapt, and how factors such as pH affect these environments. Students will have an opportunity to explore an actual nearby freshwater ecosystem. Due to the special nature of this lab, space is limited to one class (20-24 students) per session. Students should come prepared to get wet and muddy in this class. Rain boots can be provided. Students are encouraged to bring a change of clothes.

Earth Day
Join Landmark Park as we celebrate Mother Earth! Students will have hands-on activites and learn many different engaging topics relevant to being good stewards of our planet. Learn how the recycling process wroks while making paper and plant your own seeds in our gardens. Students will fully engae in “Recycle, Reuse, Reduce.” Due to the nature of this program, space is limited.
Date: April 22, 2022
Cost: $8 for students, $4 for adults
Recommended age: PreK-12th Grade

Life of a Honeybee
Busy as a bee? Well take a day to join Landmark park’s beekeepers! Learn everything there is to know about honeybees through this interactive program. Bees help grow our food and pollinate our planet. Come learn about the bee’s life cycle, history and important job serving the queen. Students will see how to care for a honeybee hive and well as learn some safety tips. Let’s not forget the best part–tasting the honey! Due to the nature of this program, there is a maximum number of students able to participate per day. Register today to secure your spot.
