Folk & Outdoor Workshop Weekend

Landmark Park is excited to announce the return of our workshop weekend on February 21-22, 2015 dedicated to introducing participants to a variety of folk crafts and skills, as well as outdoor hobbies and activities. The weekend will include two sessions on Saturday and one session on Sunday. Participants will be able to choose a different topic of interest for each session. Each session will last up to 3 hours and a hands-on element will be included. Participants will be able to sign up for individual sessions, and there will be an option to include lunch. Registration is required and can be made on the website or by calling the park office (794-3452).

Picture in the Park

In January, Landmark Park will host the annual Picture the Park photography contest. Photos will be accepted January 2-31, 2016. Photos must have been taken at Landmark Park in the last year. Participants can submit photos in six categories as a 5X7 or 8X10 mounted on foam core. Duplicate photos in more than one category, mating and frames will not be accepted. Photos will be judged on creativeness, emotional impact, originality, simplicity and overall composition in the following categories: Juvenile Division (ages 15 and younger), Animals, Floral, People, Scenic and Special Events. The cost per entry is $3 per photo. Winners and other photos will be on display in the Interpretive Center lobby. Landmark Park will retain rights to photos for one year and reserve the right to use them for promotional purposes. Don’t forget to pack your camera every time you visit the park. You never know when you will take that winning shot!
